It is our privilege to announce that we’ve overhauled our Chamber Awards and Recognition Program with you in mind.  Starting in January 2019, you’ll see a new slate of awards that are tailored to our Chamber members, that recognize success and outstanding performance, and that promote the business community in the greater Rowlett area.

We could not be more excited about this new initiative and hope you will like the new look and feel of our awards as much as we do.  Throughout this fall we’ll be rolling them out gradually starting with those presented at our Annual Awards Banquet in January.
We know that all of you have a story to tell about your business success, and we want to hear it.  Many of the awards for the Banquet ask for your participation by completing an application.  And for the first time at the Chamber we will be having outside professionals participate in evaluating the applications.  This new approach to soliciting and rating applications allow us to be more objective and fair to our members.

Below are more specifics about the awards being solicited for the Annual Awards Banquet.  Please consider completing an application and being recognized for the great things you are doing.
 

Award Descriptions

Community Impact – Business

The Community Impact - Business Award is presented to a business who is a Rowlett Chamber member and has demonstrated exceptional performance in its support of the community through its involvement and support of programs, events or voluntary groups that serve to enhance the community.
 

Community Impact – Non Profit

The Community Impact - Non Profit Award is presented to a non-profit organization who is a Rowlett Chamber member and that has demonstrated exceptional performance in its mission to serve the community through programs, services and resources that positively impact the quality of life of our residents.

Customer Service Excellence

The Customer Service Excellence Award is presented to a business who is a Rowlett Chamber member and demonstrates exceptional performance and outstanding customer service to the local community

Entrepreneur Trailblazer

The Entrepreneur Trailblazer Award is presented to a business who is a Rowlett Chamber member and has demonstrated positive growth, sustainability, innovation, community involvement, and outstanding commitment to Rowlett.  The applicant must have been in business for 5 years or less at the end of calendar year.

Workforce Bridge Builder

The Workforce Bridge Builder Award is presented to a business or organization who is a Rowlett Chamber member and that has demonstrated exceptional performance in collaborating with community educational institutions and agencies to expand opportunities in their workforce, including areas such as students, individuals with special needs, veterans and minority groups. Opportunities can include innovative or new programs that support full and part-time employment, internships, mentoring, job shadowing, apprenticeships, or other such offerings. Without bridges, the best-built roads lead nowhere and the best laid plans fail. This award acknowledges the bridges that have been built and the lifelong connections made. By providing a new generation of workers with opportunities in the region, we ultimately enhance our entire workforce and culture.

2018 Awards Banquet Award Application Process

To be considered for any of the above awards, you must complete an application and email it, along with your business logo and any supporting documentation, to Michael Gallops at michael@rowlettchamber.com by Friday, November 2, 2018.   Applications are available online at http://www.RowlettChamber.com starting Friday, October 12, 2018.

Awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Hyatt Place, Garland.  The top three nominees will be notified by Chamber staff.
